Mothman has been known to herald terrible disasters. LIKE THIS SHOW MAYBE? READ THE REVIEW TO FIND OUT! |
There are a few differences, though. For one, each episode follows a single scenario, which makes the setups more involved. The downside of this is that the pacing is rather slow and the big reveal at the end doesn't quite justify it. It also means the show lacks the variety of Scare Tactics, which makes it even more monotonous.
But despite all that, there is one glorious shining feature of this show: The cryptids. All of the show's monsters are everyone's favorite semi-mythical beings, with classics such as the Mothman, death worms, and sasquatches. The show sprinkles in crypto-facts throughout the show and they have interviews with "experts" on the subject. The facts are wikipedia-level at best and delivered in a less-interesting fashion, but hey, at least they're talking about it..
The show doesn't seem to be syndicated anymore, but can be found on Netflix. I recommend it if you like the weird stuff that Megh and I do, or if you like Scare Tactics and are cool with a less-interesting version of it. All and all, I give it a 7/10. It had the potention for greatness, and it's failures made me hate it all the more. I am now giving it a 6/10. Yes, I just lowered it. It has disappointed me.
Stay fanatic
