Hello folks!
Space City Con came and went this last weekend and Megh and I were lucky enough to score tickets. We went Sunday, the last day, and the place was bustling. Taking place in the Marriott at Westchase, it was a much smaller area than we were used to. There was a fun atmosphere accompanying the crowded halls that I liked, but it looked to me like they weren't expecting as many people as there were. It was shoulder-to-shoulder is some places around artist's alley and the lines to see guests were so long we didn't bother.
They had a wide variety of vendors and artists at SCC, including a few folks we knew from Comicpalooza. Tentacle Kitties were out in full force! But despite all the merch, Megh and I were trying to keep it thrifty and managed to walk out with nothing but a book from Triscelle Publishing's booth, signed by the polite and informative co-author.
It was a fun convention, although small and bland compared to Comicpalooza. I would go again next year if they have another groupon ticket deal! As for now, I'm still holding out for next June.
Stay Fanatic,
Aaron
