For many children (and people acting like children), this means dressing up, going door to door and demanding candy from neighbors. Or, depending on your city, going to the rich neighborhoods and trick or treating there! For youths and young adults, it means going (or throwing) a party where people come to your house all dressed up and demand the candy they are entitled to (or alcohol, if applicable).
And for Aaron and me, it means staying home, watching old movies, passing out candy, and ordering a jack o' lantern shaped pizza.
I don't know what I was expecting. |
We had a total of 5 trick or treaters, which left us with a large bowl and a bag full of candy. Normally, I don't think that we would mind. I had already sorted out all of Aaron's favorites from the Wonka (aka "good") bag, and I actually like Tootsie rolls and company. But this is ridiculous. I don't eat more than 5 Tootsie roll sized pieces of candy a month, and Aaron would gladly use the candy we have as kindling if it would burn. So, if any of our readers have a suggestion; please leave it in the comments or email us at timandbens@gmail.com.
